Even Calmer Kharma

6th August 2009

Music composer Andi Baxter was handed a real challenge recently - to create a whole album of hypnotic music without falling into a trance himself!!

International Hypnotherapist John Hancock has developed a course which has helped smokers, the overweight, poor sleepers and many others to conquer their problem via self-hypnosis. But John wanted to provide follow-up materials which his students could use any time - hence an hour-long CD on which John leads the listener through a restorative therapy session.

It was essential that the music was gentle, wave-like and calming, developing thematically throughout the hour. To purchase world rights to so much music from a library would have proved prohibitively expensive, and might not have achieved the right changes of mood exactly when John required them - so Andi composed and mixed this gradually evolving track. How did you compose an hour of hypnotic music Andi? Andi? Wake up Andi....
