Recording history with Norfolk’s finest
If statues could talk, what stories would they tell? We were pleased to welcome some local legends to the studio recently: The iconic City Hall Lions… Polymath and author Sir Thomas Browne… Anchoress and theologian Julian of Norwich… The mysterious feral child Peter the Wild Boy… One of Shakespeare’s original players, the comedian Will Kempe… Well they weren’t literally in our studio – but they were here in spirit! 10 of Norwich’s most historic statues have been given the power of speech. Talking Statues is an exciting project designed by...
Made in Gnawfolk
Gnaw put the fun back into chocolate. Could we get that fun across in a video? Of course we could! This was one project we could really get our teeth into! Gnaw launched in Norfolk in 2011. Now these premium chocolate bars and treats are available all across the UK and in 23 faraway countries. We devised a video to launch their new Chocolate & Granola Bars – with the focus on the delicious ingredients. Our colourful concept involved stop motion animation. Fortunately there is a 24 hour McDonalds close to our studio as Emma & Alice...
Get all relaxed….about tax?
As impossible as it seems that’s exactly the message Norwich-based accountancy firm TaxAssist is spreading with its first national TV campaign. Showing on several channels including Channel 4, Dave and Comedy Central, this commercial features three small business owners hard at work without a care in the world. Well, why would they when TaxAssist have their taxes under control? There’s Sophie the painter/decorator, Carl the baker, and Dave – the owner of a small tech business. Our aim was to give the commercial a fun, fresh feel with...
What did the trowel say to the spade?
What did the trowel say to the spade? No – it’s not a joke. It’s actually our latest set of 24 sponsorship bumpers for trustatrader.com now broadcasting throughout programmes during afternoons on ITV3. This was one shoot where our crew was frequently caught lying about! That’s because our concept involved using tools as puppets, and so it was a case of getting down on the floor and waving those arms about! Across two long days we filmed a series of scenes featuring talking spades, paintbrushes, hammers, chainsaws and …well the whole tool...
JMS helps East Anglian Air Ambulance take to the air
Every day the East Anglian Air Ambulance saves lives across the region. Being a charity it relies on the support of the public. One way of bringing in donations is through a weekly lottery and it was decided to try and increase participation with a TV campaign on Sky Adsmart. As the region's foremost producer of TV commercials JMS was invited to work on the campaign. The advert concept involved an ordinary couple going about their daily lives. Even though they may not work for the emergency services, in their own way they are lifesavers –...
